How to have more time in 2016

How to have more time in 2016

Time is what we want most, but what we use worst. -William Penn

There are a hundred different things you wish you could do with your program or had the opportunity to spend more time on.

The truth is, we all have the same amount of time, but it is in great demand and often the constant demands, pressures and responsibilities of each day rob us of the opportunity to try new things.More Time in 2016

As 2016 nears, look at ways to free time to do the things you pushed aside in 2015. It’s not hard, but it will take a little bit of effort, planning and diligence. Start now, here are a few ideas to examine in your program.
  • Lead programs. Examine your lead management program. How can you better qualify leads during the show and during the sales rep.-attendee interaction so you do not need to quality after show close? Close the gap and have a plan for what will happen with each lead classification after the show. Determine a lead retrieval program that can quickly get the leads in the hands of your sales team and eliminate the need for you to manage the process.
  • Exhibit design. Review your 2016 program and plan a cross-functional exhibit to fit as many floor plans as possible. This will reduce cost and your time managing the redesign process of multiple exhibits. Select a program that requires minimal setup and take-down time of your team. This will help your team stay focused on their leads and decrease the time needed on the show floor.
  • Brand ambassadors. Consider working with one Brand Ambassador company who can represent your company across the nation in a consistent, professional manner and handle all your training. They will provide a best first impression of your company and limit the time you need to spend training new exhibit staff at each show.
  • Giveaways and promotions. As you prepare your 2016 marketing plan, determine how your promotional plan can be more efficient. Can your giveaways work across all events? Or, even if they have to be event-specific, can you make one purchase order to save time making these orders throughout the year?
Before 2016 begins, review your program. What items can be grouped together and what can be done more efficiently? While you make time reductions, make sure you are adding items that you want to do and you will look forward to. Keep that “One Day” list handy. If you start planning now, next year might offer you a lot more time.
